The houses on each side are of Superior Construction with gardens attached and ornamental ground in front occupied by respectable families; though a few houses near its junction with Causewayside are occupied by mechanics.
CAUSEWAYSIDE SCHOOL	Causewayside School Causewayside School	Door Plate Mr. Wilson Causewaywside		[Situation] On the SW. [South West] side of Upper Gray Street adjoining the United Presbyterian church. A school in connection with the United Presbyterian Church in Duncan Street. The usual branches of a common Education are taught here at a nominal fee. It is numerally attended.
