A large and well built church, of the saxon style of architecture, erected in 1846 at a cost of about £7000. The interior is well fitted out galleries seats &c, sufficiently commodious for about 1400 persons. The minister is the Rev. R. S. Candlish D. D. [Doctor of Divinity] whose stipend amounts to about £130 from the sustentation fund and about £200 supplimented to him by the congregation.
