A large and handsome built edifice, situated at Rutland Place, it was erected in 1843-4 at a cost of about £4500, by subscription. The interior is well fitted out with galleries seats &c, and affords accommodation for about 900 persons. The present incumbents are the Rev. [Reverend] D. J. K. Drummond & W. D. Wade, whose stipend arises from seat rents, no free sitting except a few for church wardens &c. It is the English episcopal Congregation that worships here. |
