[Situation] On the South Side of Princes Street at its west end.
A large & handsome edifice of the Gothic style of architecture. It is of an oblong form with a handsome square tower at the west end 120 feet high & surmounted by pinnacles. This church was built in 1818 & cost £15000. The interior is handsomely fitted up with seats sufficient to accommodate 900 persons. There are two clergymen attend this chapel the very Revd [Reverend] E. B. Ramsay, Dean of Edinburgh and the Revd [Reverend] B Addison. Attached to the east end of the chapel are a series of vaults for sepulture. It is an Episcopal chapel. There is also a small protion of grave yard attached to it

A plain cottage 2 stories high with plot of ornamental ground attached. It is the residence of Revd [Reverend] Mr Veitch one of the ministers of St. Cuthberts Church & belongs to St Cuthberts Parish.
