This is a Small plot of ground which is pointed as being the old burying ground belonging to the Abbey. It is situated on the north side of the Chapel Royal. It has not been used for many years past as burying place.
MILNE'S TOMB Milne's Tomb William Drummond [Situation] a E. [East] of Holyrood Palace
A tombstone or Small monument erected to the memory of Alexander Milne Architect who died Feb. [February] 20 1643 On it is a latin inscription and also in English is an inscription purporting that it had been restored in 1776.
