It is supposed by the Inhabitants that 300 years since it was of considerable size and importance as a village In the burying ground to the North of the village is the Ruins of what must have been a very ancient building. the inhabitants say it is the Ruins of a catholic chaple, but they cannot assign any date for its demolition. This name is also applicable to a Farm House & farm north of the burying ground occupied by Mr D. Thompson, and the property of Mrs Ramsey |
