Continued entries/extra info
There appears to have been a chapel at "Shotts" dedicated to St. [Saint] Catherine of Sienna. In the vicinity of the chapel, a copious spring of excellent water was consecrated to St. [Saint] Catherine; and it still bears the popular name of "Kate's Well", -- Chalmers,Transcriber's notes
The continued entry, the quotation from Chalmers, is written across the page under the Place entry. The words "the" in front of "vicinity", and "and" in front of "it still bears" are only partial due to the page fold. "Kate's Well" and "Chalmers" are underlined.Transcribers who have contributed to this page.
