006.12 A Superior Farm Steading occupied by the Proprietor's Factor. This was formerly a good Mansion - the "Hall" of Carntyne. The property of G Miller Esq; South of the "Hall", on the east side of the Ph [Parish] Road - Trace 6, there is a thatched house having the date 1635 on its south end; the house or south side of it, is slightly rounded where the date is. It is not known whether the house is the age the date implies, or whether the stone upon which it is cut, has been brought there for building.
