007.16 The present grave digger of Old Monkland Mr. Russel States that he was present in the year 1832 as a labourer levelling the then rough ground and discovered with John Stevenston and others now deceased 5 Stone Coffins Containing human bonesand dust at or about the place marked on trace, there was also a Curious hammer found at the same time and place which is now in the possession of Mrs. Crawford of Fiddlershall.
