001.13 This school was built in 1850 by the Est. Church Congregation. It is capable of containing 200 pupils. The appointment to this school & the Schoolmaster's Salary is in connection with the Barony Parish of Glasgow. It is considered the Parish School of Maryhill, though the whole of the Heritors of the original parish (Barony) contribute to its support. If the three other schools - Barony, Springburn & Shettleston, were without a Teacher, the remaining or fourth Teacher, would receive the Salary of the other three while their places were vacant.
