017.16 A name which applies to a small house on this Trace and a ruin on Trace 4 of xvii-12, both formerly, a Farm Steading. There is a little waterfall on "Limekiln Burn", on the margin line, which if the name be taken from, is not now used to it but to the houses only. This name is always used in one word by the Proprietor's Agents. The property of the Duke of Hamilton.

017.06 This stream rises from the mosses, or muirs of Glasford Parish on Trace 6. xvii-15, & flows through the village named after it, forms a Reservoir on Trace 5-xvii-12, for the "Quarter Iron Works", passes close to the south side of the Farm of "Carscallan" Trace 3,xvii-13 & enters the Burn which is called "Meikle Burn" after the latter enters the High Parks of Hamilton.
