017.15 A portion of ground in the corner of a field, which, with the exception of this Loch & the R.H.P. (partly Marsh) around it, is arable land. Its appearance at present (August) is meadow land. In winter it is, upon the authorities here quoted, Flooded, & much used during the frosty season, for curling. It bears no proper name, being sometimes named "Limekilnburn" _ from the village, & sometimes "Muttonhole" from being on the lands of the latter. The property of the Duke of Hamilton.
