011.16 This Burn rises in Glasford Parish at Wackenwae Well, & enters the River Clyde in the Low Parks of Hamilton, near the Mausoleum. The principal Farms through which this Burn passes, are "Burnhead", "Whitecraigs", (xvii-11), the village of "Meikle Earnock" & "Fairhill" (xvii-8) "Eddlewood New Mill", "Chantinghall" & "Auchingramont" (xvii-4). It passes through the Burgh of Hamilton (on 1/500 scale) & after being covered, from passing under part of the Town, re-issues near the "Mausoleum" & enters the River Clyde. In the south of the Parish near where Cadzow Burn rises, it is pronounced "Caygae" _ the ancient name of the Parish, by the people of that district.
