There are a good many Fallow Deer in it, on the south east it is separated from the other grounds of the High Parks by a high wall commencing at the Lodge house on Trace 2 leading to "Riccarton" & joining the Avon banks about 8 chains south of the "Chatelherault" house. Several Roe Deer run wild through the Banks of the Avon. |

Chatelherault (Continued) - stand on the opposite side of the "Avon Water". The Duke's Kennels are here. The Great Avenue commences from the house & may be seen to the Palace. Chatelherault is occupied, now, by the Chief Gamekeeper.
