"The Lady Well At the request of the neighbouring citizens, was restored by the Magistrates and Council of Glasgow. Robert Gavin Esq Convener of their Committee with contributions from the Merchant House.
Jas Martin Dean of Guild 1835 "
This is one of the old Holy Wells and was prior to the Reformation in great repute by the magnates of the Cathedral.
