006.11 A stone in the wall of a low building attached to the north side of the cathedral marking the spot where 9 martyrs lye. It bears the following inscription
"Here lies the corpse of Robert Bunton, John Hart, Robert Scott, Matthew Patown, John Richmond, James Johnston, Archibald Stewart, James Winning and John Main, who suffered at the Cross of Glasgow for their testimony to the Covenants and Work of Reformation because they durst not own the authority of the then tyrants destroying the same betwixt 1666 & 1688"
