024.05 This hill rises abruptly on the east & west sides, & has a conical appearance on looking at it from the south side. It is very prominent from the south & may be seen from a considerable distance. The name is a Scotticism of Topped_ from its narrow top.

024.05 A prominent hill seen from several places in the Parish. The farm of this name is at the bottom of it, on the west side. The fences on the north & west sides show the shape of the bottom of the hill. "Tapped Hill" is east of Whitehill at a distance of about 6 chains.
