023.02 | A little enclosure formerly used by Quakers for burying their dead. There have been no burials in it for nearly a century, but the name of the ground are well known in the neighborhood. Recently, the Farmer of "Shawtons hill" had to repair the fences oe. [et cetera] for damaging them & trespass. There are no raised graves or Head Stones, to shew that it has been a Burying ground. It is still the property of the Quakers. |
