016.04 On the summit of Law Knowe was formerly a cairn composed of small stones - Mr. Ure in his history of Kilbride says, that, it had at the bottom a circle of Flags set on edge, not perpendicular but sloping a little outwards and between 8 and 10 feet in diameter. The cairn is now entirely removed and the hill cultivated. Mr. Ure says - contd. [continued]
