024.06 A good farm steading, the property of his grace the Duke Of Hamilton. A little house about 8 chains north of the farm-house, on the east side of the T.P. Road, belongs to "Canderside" and has no distinctive term or name. A farm of the name "Ryehill" formerly stood near south of "Canderside". The lands of it are farmed with those of "Canderside", but in letting the farm the names, as given in lease and valuation roll, are coupled. there is no hill feature to which the name "Ryehill" could be applied and so retained. "Canderside" is the name commonly used to both farms now.
