Thomas Anderson, Inspector Of Poor.		 024.02 A farm steading, the property of General Irving. Five chains east of "Struther" there is a public road, going southwards, to the Edinburgh and Ayr Road, which it joins about 15 chains north of the farm of "Swinehill".

ironstone mines on the banks of the Avon, west of "Birkenshaw". The mines are written "Levels" on the examination trace. The ironstone is wrought by the Coltness Iron Company.
