018.15 A good farm steading occupied by D. Templeton, the property of the Duke Of Hamilton. The mode of spelling as authorized by the factor and the "Rent Roll", is now used by the proprietor's agents. There is a cotter's dwelling on the side of the parish road, going to Dalserf, about 12 chains north of the steading of "Howlethole", which is generally known as being on the lands of "Howlethole", but cannot be said to have any other recognised designation.
