018.15 "The ancient residence of the Hamiltons Of Dalserf was at Auldton (or Auldtown) now converted into a farm steading". New Statistical Account.
The antiquated portion of this farm house is crossed on examination Trace. The modern buildings adjoining the old mansion - which is that where the date 1610 appears in raised figures on the north eastern corner, have been built in various sizes, without respect to the size of the old house - a small house has been added to the east end, and a new house has recently been erected at right angles with the north side, covering an enclosed stone staircase. At the place written "Gate" there is arched gateway having a belfry on the top - The bell is now in the Parish Church belfry. The detached house south west, is said to be a part of the old offices of the mansion house.
It is now the property of James Campbell Hamilton of Dalserf House
