034.13 ' On the banks of the river at Wolf Clyde, there is a moat or tumulus about twenty feet high and thirty in diameter. There is also a Camp on the flat holm on the opposite side of the river' (On the ancient camps of the Upper Ward of Lanark by G.V Irving Esq)
This Tumulus is fenced and planted with trees, is in a good state of preservation, and is a beautiful specimen of the ancient Tomb.
