050 | Mrs. Thomson, the mother of the present farmer Archd. Thomson, has resided at Little Clyde all her life, she is now about 60 years of age, she states that she remembers seeing part of the walls in her youth, and she says they were very thick, and firmly cemented together and the building was of a square form. It was pulled down previous to the present dwelling house being built, and in the wall was found an old sword, which was made into a Turnip Knife! Mrs. Thomson says that it was very fine steel, it has since been stolen by a Pedlar. |
