(Newton Ho.). 047 A name given to small knowe on the top of which is situated what appears to have been a strongly fortified Camp, on the west side where the hill is easy of ascent it is defended by three ramparts the remains of which are very distinct, on the north and east side the hill is steep and all that is traceable is one rampart of the N.E. and two small portions of what appears to have been ramparts on the extreme east, this Camp is situated between Casan Cleuch, and March Burn near Grains. There are two gates or roads into the Camp, one on the west side and the other on the east, and a road which winds along the side of Camps Water can be traced to near the foot of the rampart on the south side, where it terminates, and can not be traced any further, this road is sup-*
