Plan of Peeblesshire 044 A fine prominent hill on which the parishes of Culter and Crawford meet the Co. of Peebles. This hill is called Hillshaw Head on the Ordnance Survey Plan of Peebles but I have not met any persons in Crawford Ph. who know it by that name, it is well known by the people in the neighbourhood on the Lanarkshire side by the name given viz. "Culterstane Hill".
