043.09; 043.13 With reference to the parish of Crawfordjohn the River Clyde forms its eastern Boundary from Glengonnerfoot about half a mile south of Abington. to Duneatonfoot a distance of about 2½ miles, in some places during this part of its course it considerably exceeds 2 chains in width but in others it diminishes to 80 or 90 links as the channel of the River is tolerably deep it is not liable to overflow its banks although the River itself is of no great depth.
