Continued entries/extra info
HOWLANDS PITThere is a crossed out entry for Howlands Pit at the bottom of the page.
Authorities are Daniel Rankin, Rev John Wylie and JL Stewart.
Location: 19.5
Description: Coalpit worked by steam, property of the Shotts Iron Company.
Presumably the template exists elsewhere but all I can find is a farm called Howlands on page 85. Situation is 19.14 so it does not look promising.
Transcriber's notes
BOWRIDGE COTTAGEThere is an entry for this cottage on the template but no details on this image. or any other for this parish. The next page has a farm called Bowridge and that may be where the name came from. I suspect this template entry should just be deleted as afiction.
