025.05 | The name of the above mentioned farmsteading is derived from the circumstance of a Chapel having formerly stood on the spot . The Stat. Account says that " at "the South of the Parish there had" "been a chapel of St. Oswald" where some sepulchral remains have been lately dug up". there is not a vestige of this building in existence at the present time. |
