CHURCH [Tomb on Site of, Kirk Kill] 033.09 On the top of this hill is a Tomb of the Wyndham family. An oblong space of about twenty feet by thirty, enclosed by a stone wall twenty feet high. Within this are interred the remains of John third Earl of Hyndford and Jane his Countess. According to a tradition in the neighbourhood this tomb is on the site of the old church of Carmichael, but not a vestige of it remains at present.
