002.11 | A line of Railway between Airdrie & Kirktintilloch used for carriage of minerals. There is no Telegraph on this line, & nearly a mile of it has only Single Rails. Formerly, this line was called the "Monkland & Kirkintilloch Railway" & until about 1846 carried passengers. In 1848, the "Monkland & Kirktintilloch Railway", the "Ballochney Ry [Railway]", & the "Slamannan Railway", were amalgamated under the title of the "Monkland Railways," which title now applies to the whole system. This Railway does not appear in the Time Tables. |
