The name is supposed to be derived from the Roman Road called " Watlin or Watling Street" which passes through tHe southern parts of these parks, as represented by the site shewn on the Examination Traces. The name is well known to neighbouring proprietors & Farmers. The extent to which the name applies is shewn by a yellow shade. The Parks are the property of a Mrs. Jack & James Cross Esquire of Clydeside. |
