A small hill on the farm of Polvaddock, its soil is heathy pasture land. On it is a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Station called by Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Party "PareKeigh", on the South Side of this hill it is known by Low Countem and is on the farm of Altry.

A few stones situated on the boundary betwixt the Counties of Dumfries and Kirkcudbrightshire. Mr Wilson says that it is handed down by Tradition that, a packman or pedlar called Allan was murdered and interred here.
