050 | A Graveyard situate about 1/4 mile North East of the Burgh of Kirkcudbright it is well enclosed by a stone built wall and is handsomely ornamented with monumental stones etc one of which points out the cemetery belonging to the Earl of Selkirk. Near the Nth [North] corner is another small monument, standing upright about 2 feet above the ground bearing the inscription "The remains of William Marshall, Tinker who died 28th Nov 1792 at the advanced age of 120 years" on the reverse side of the stone are cut the figure of Rams horns, and two horn spoons in the form of a cross.
