Chapel Site of Maxwell Black Carpenter This Spot is Said to be the Site of a chapel and grave yard, of the Chapel no visible remains exist but I am informed that people still living has ploughed up human bones The supposition of a chapel being here in bygone times is Supported by antiquated trees growing near it, by tradition and the name applied to a farm "Chapel Croft" Said to be derived from this object, and on which farm the site is, the Original houses of the farm Stood nearer this object than the present does.
