037 A large hill upon the farm of Laghead the surface of which consists of rocky heathy pasture. some small eminences upon it have separate & independent names, e.g. "Craig of the Fell" "Green Lumps" "Mill Hill" &c &c. The remains of an old fence runs over it which is said to have been the work of the early inhabitants, or their invaders, it is called the "Picts Dike". The hill takes its name from being on the quondam farm of "Carstramont".

037 A few hillocks on "Carstramont Hill" which when viewed at a distance, appear greenish, hence the name.
