Little Water of Fleet 037 A rivulet running out of Loch Fleet in the mountainous district at the north western side of the parish of Girthon, after leaving the Loch it meanders some distance in an easterly direction when it changes its course & turns direct south (receiving numerous small tributaries) until its junction with the "Big Water of Fleet about 2 miles north of Gatehouse, after which the continuation of both rivulets it then takes the name of the River Fleet until their confluence with the sea below Gatehouse
