015 A small ravine on the north side of Cairn o' Mount. It is so situated that a considerable portion of the road to the north can be seen from it, and tradition says that a gang of thieves made it a lurking place from which to plunder the travellers crossing the hills. The last of the gang is said to have been captured at night at Bogindreep, a cottage within two miles of the village of Strachan.
