"Inglismaldie, one of the seats of the Earl of Kintore, is an old house, in a Castellated form." (New. Stat. Act. [Statistical Account])

This building is in good repair, and attached to it is a large vegetable garden, with pleasure grounds, outbuildings, and all the requirements of a modern mansion, there is no date of its erection, but the style of Architecture is that of the sixteenth century. Mr Mathewson the agent on the Estate says that it is considered to have been built about the same time as Balbegno Castle (1509) (See Fettercairn Ph. [Parish]) The House etc is at present tenanted by Mr Meikle.
