Site of Castle Site of Castle Mr John Morrison (Largie) 021.10 Mr Morrison states that about 80 years ago there stood at this place the remains of what appeared to have been a Strong Castle, the foundations of which were taken down by his father. There is a stone which was taken from the castle and now built into one of the gables of an outhouse, this stone bears the following inscription [1611 IA IS] supposed to be the initials of one of the Abercrombie family. I have not seen any record of this Castle in any of the Parish or County records, but Mr Morrison is a very intelligent person whose information may be fully relied upon.
