021.02 | The circle is twenty two yards in diameter set round at regular distances with fourteen large stones some of which would weigh twenty cwt: [hundredweight] the center appears to have been opened, but I am not aware of anything of interest having been found. The views from this hill are very extensive. The whole of these antiquities are in the vicinity of a farm called "Druidsdale" which name is evidently derived from the district being at one timed used by the Druids. |
