(Stone Coffins etc Contind. [Continued]) | [continued from page 39] Farm house of Forth, the present tenant who pointed out the site states that he has resided 25 years upon the farm, and he has noticed during the whole of that period that whatever is growing on the site of the Cairn, withers, and never comes to proper maturity like the crop on any other part of the field. This would lead to the supposition that there are more coffins buried near the surface of the ground, and that the hollow caused by these structures prevents the crops from getting proper root and nourishment from the soil. The site is on a natural elevation there is nothing remarkable in its appearance the ground being under crop and all trace of the Cairn levelled. B. Render Corpl. R.E.
