There is a small portion of it cultivated, but the greater portion is covered with Rough pasture, it is the property of Lord Macdonald - I could get no English meaning for the name.

035 At the northern extremity of this point, there is what seems to be the remains of an old Dun or Fort. It resembles very much one that is close to Dunrobin Castle in Sutherlandshire. - It stands on solid Rock, The most of the stones have been taken away for building purposes, just about Sufficient left to Shew that it has been a thing of the sort. It is known in this locality by the name of "Ord Castle".
