The extreme length of this island is about four & one half miles, & its breadth about one & one fourth miles. The whole is rented by small crofters who reside in very poor houses, all one story & thatched, the only buildings slated on this island is the Lightkeeper houses and a shooting Lodge at Acairseid Mòr. W. Armitage Esqr. Raasay House, proprietor.
