027 This is said to have been a Norman Catholic place of worship, the foundations of which can be clearly traced, and it would seem that it has also been a burying place; there are still to be seen a number of small mounds around the foundation of the old building, and about 100 years ago Some of the then residents at Harlosh had the remains of their deceased relations conveyed from this place to the present Grave Yard at Kilmuir near Duinvegan. It is situated on a small eminence in the district of Balmore, Harlosh.
