The coast round the island is very rocky & dangerous for mariners, but there are two excellent natural harbours, one on the north side & one on the south which would afford good shelter more especially the one on the north side. The island is covered with inferior heathy pasture and is under sheep. Mr Cameron of Glen Brittle is the farmer, & Macleod of Macleod is proprietor.
