This name is applied to a large mountainous district situate at the south west of skye It includes the Cuchallin Hills and a number of other very large hills. It is bounded on the north by the road leading from Sligachan to the head of Loch Harport, thence by the sea on the west and South as far as Loch Scavaig thence by the parish boundary at this place to where it forms the River Sligachan which river forms the boundary of the district to where it passes the road. It is the property of McLeod of McLeod. |
