About two hundred yards Northwards of this loch, and on the North bank of the stream known as "Abhuinn Roag", there are to be be seen the site of two old entrenchments where it said a battle was fought between the McLeods, of Skye , and the Clan Ranald of Uist. the period at which this took place could not be ascertained in the neighbourhood.
