This name is applied to a small prominent Knoll, said to be the site of an ancient fort, but of what shape or form I could not ascertain. It is also said that the Picts were in the habit of kindling large fires on the summit of this Knoll, for what purpose I could not ascertain. At the base of this Knoll on the south side were found human remains A. D. 1872. |
